CV-1 Features

At the onset of design, the following list of features were specified:

*Applicable to both factory and aftermarket blocks
*Use off the shelf valvetrain components
*No shaft rockers required
*No offset lifters
*No pushrod "bulge"
*Use conventional Pontiac cam profiles
*Standard round port exhaust (optional convertible port)
*Oil drainback options, minimizung windage
*Retain full complement of accessory bolt holes (even A/C)
*Provision for down nozzles in intake ports
*Retain stock water crossover position for proper coolant circulation

Options

The CV-1 top end can produce dramatic power increases over the factory head designs with no additional porting required.  Therefore, it is mandatory to include quality components in the short block to handle the increased power. Even better, enlist the services of a reputable performance engine builder for an assembly that can be tailored to your needs.

**Some applications could experience clearance issues with underhood accessories which may require modification**

The following five options must be specified when ordering a set of CV-1 cylinder heads for your traditional Pontiac powered vehicle. There are no extra charges for options except where noted:

1. Small or large combustion chamber volume- 65cc, 81cc or 92cc
2. Large (285cc) or head porter's (215cc) intake port size
3. Standard round port or convertible port exhaust (see below for details)
4. Standard or offset rocker. The latter comes with pushrod scallops minimized for max porting
5. Water jacketed or solid dry head (Extra charge- see pricing)

The 285cc intake port is intended for 440-540ci performance applications with matching cam and gearing. The 215cc version can be used with 389-400ci mild performance applications out of the box, or custom tailored to specific builds when correctly ported. When ordering please specify the answers to these options and fax or email it with your name, business shipping address, method of payment, and daytime phone #.
